Hand-Finished in London & Florence

Our Responsibility

Built to Last.
Not to Landfill.

At Brightlane, sustainability is not a marketing campaign — it is a design philosophy. We believe the most sustainable product is one that never needs replacing. Every decision we make, from material sourcing to our lifetime repair promise, is guided by this principle.

Repair, Don't Replace

items repaired at our London workshop in the past year alone. Our Lifetime Repair Guarantee is our most powerful sustainability policy.

Our Supply Chain

We work with a deliberately small network of trusted suppliers — each personally vetted by our founder. Our Tuscan tannery has been family-owned since 1874 and holds ISO 14001 environmental certification. Our polycarbonate shells are manufactured in a zero-waste facility in Germany, and our recycled twill is woven by a certified B Corp textile innovator based in Manchester, UK.

Carbon & Shipping

We offset 100% of carbon emissions from our UK and international deliveries through verified reforestation projects in the Scottish Highlands and North Wales. Our partnership with Ecologi has funded the planting of over 8,000 trees since our founding. We are committed to achieving net-zero operations by 2030, in alignment with the UK Government's Net Zero Strategy and the Climate Change Act 2008 targets.

Circular Design

Every Brightlane product is designed for disassembly. Wheels, handles, zips, and shells can all be individually replaced at our workshop — meaning a single item can be maintained and refreshed for decades rather than discarded. When a product truly reaches end-of-life, we offer a take-back programme where we reclaim materials for recycling.

Modern Slavery & Ethical Practices

Brightlane is committed to ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business, in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We conduct regular audits of all suppliers and publish an annual Modern Slavery Statement. All workers in our supply chain are paid a living wage, and we are a member of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI).

Environmental Reporting

We are committed to transparency. In accordance with the UK Companies Act 2006 and the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) framework, we publish annual environmental impact reports detailing our energy consumption, carbon emissions, and waste reduction progress. These reports are available upon request.
